I got the scoop

I stayed up way past my bedtime, and made myself late sewing on buttons this morning. But here she is: the Scoop du Jour!

Scoop du Jour

You can click it to go to the gallery for some more views, project notes, etc.

It was really enjoyable to knit. At the moment I’m lamenting the fact that I probably won’t get to wear it for a while. I recommend knitting it out of cotton if you plan to do it soon, so you can at least use it for an evening coverup on a cooler night. The Manos wool is just too warm for that, so this Scoop will be hanging out with a couple blocks of cedar wood for the next few months… But won’t it be a treat when fall comes along.

P.S. Thanks again Carolyn for de-stashing the yarn to me!

    It looks great. Mmmm…Manos.
Did you rejigger the numbers or were you able to knit Manos at 4.5 sts/in?

Love the Scoop! I have liked this one from the beginning, and seeing it in Manos, and with the variegated yarn appeals to me even more. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos, Heidi. It looks great, and it will be so great for you come fall (or even now in the cold library/archives where you work!)

I didn’t like this pattern originally when I saw it on Bonne Marie’s blog, but wow, it looks great in that yarn. I love variegateds too. Hmm, always finding ideas. I like your version a lot. And it will be nice in the fall/winter to have a handknit already ready. No waiting for it to be finished, it’s already done!
