Spring ensemble

Now that these two items are done, it’s gotten too cold to wear them. It won’t be long though. I have heard from two different people today that they heard frogs chirping yesterday, which is one of my favorite signs of spring!

1. Barcelona Skirt (Amy Butler pattern) – the fourth I have made.

2. Swing Cardigan

Yarn: Ironstone Harmony. Buttons: yet more from the great-grandmotherly stash of mother of pearl beauties. Mod: changed button bands to picked-up ribbed ones.

Next week I am taking 1.5 days off work (out of the 3 total that I ordinarily work) so that I can sew blocks for Maeve’s birthday quilt. It is less than a month away, and I have five finished blocks out of a total of 110 or so needed. Yeah, probably won’t be done by April 16, but days off work! I never let myself do that lately.
