Beach

I might have to become one of those minimalist bloggers if I’m going to post with any regularity…

This is Maeve at the beach for the first time last Saturday. She loved it.

After and before

I chopped my hair off. This time of year I seem to always get sick of it…the humid weather just turns it into an unruly piece of shrubbery that no ponytail holder can adequately contain.

After and before

I don’t love the new style, too many layers and textured bits, but it grows so fast that it will be tolerable again before I know it. And really, it’s not that big of a change. I was not parting with two feet of hair like last year.

Anyway, ladies need a fresh new hairstyle when they are going back to work.

That’s right, I hauled off and got myself a job after a full two-year “vacation.” It’s part-time but it’s exactly what I think we all need right now. We’re ready. Maybe some of those blog-friends I once had who came my way as a result of the occasional library topics will come back. I might even find some time to comment on contemporary library/archival issues, now that I may get the chance to concentrate on the literature and whatnot. Libraries 2.0, what the heck is that?

Maeve is still not quite walking but getting closer every day. As soon as she stands up on her own and then takes some steps, the winner of the silly contest will be announced.

Oh and I finished a pair of little-kid socks, finally. The one had sat in Maeve’s closet since about three months before she was born; I made the second one last night. Lucky for her she has tiny feet…they’ll fit well this fall.
